Great Place To Work – Woman Best Workplaces Award Show
An award show built around the companies leading the way on workplace culture deserved a setting that understood the assignment.
Great Place To Work booked Capital Kitchen exclusively for the Woman Best Workplaces award show, an evening designed to celebrate the organisations quietly changing how companies treat their people. With 112 guests in the room, the evening needed to feel like it understood that too.
Guests arrived from 17:00 for a relaxed reception, with a glass of Vouvray (and an alcohol-free sparkling option for those who preferred it) and a couple of well-chosen small bites: a black truffle bitterbal and a tomato tartare that set the tone for the rest of the evening.
What followed was not a standard sit-down dinner. The spring menu was built around the programme itself, with each course timed to land at exactly the right moment between speeches and award presentations. Beets from Nibbixwoud opened the meal, roasted pumpkin followed, and a lemon tartlet closed things out, each course landing within its own precise window so the kitchen and the stage stayed perfectly in sync.
A photo wall went up in the Gallery the same morning, AV ran through Creative Technology, and the open bar kept things flowing for guests with frisdranken, wines and beer (alcoholic and non-alcoholic both covered).
It is the kind of event where the food has to work with the programme rather than around it, and where 112 people need to feel like the room was built for exactly this moment. At Capital Kitchen, it was.
